Welcome to the Team page for the 2019 Goodlife Fitness Pacific Autism Family Network Stars, THE PAFN STARS.
The Original Stars team were founded in 2007 winning Provincial Titles, Red Bull Super Cups, The Molson Cup and most importantly the hearts of the fans…But the Stars are best known in any league for having the best change room in all of hockey…hands down.
Having played in charity events in the past this year the Stars are proud to be participating the 2019 CAN Pro-AM in support of Canucks Autism Network (CAN).
Founded in 2008, CAN provides year-round sports and recreation programs for individuals and families living with autism, while raising awareness and providing training across BC.
By participating in the CAN Pro-Am Hockey Tournament, we will be fundraising for thousands of children, youth, young adult and families to benefit from CAN programs.
Our sponsor this year and the team we are playing for is the Goodlife Pacific Autism Family Network in Richmond. The Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN) is a centre of excellence and network of supports for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families across the province. The PAFN’s core purpose is to be a Knowledge Centre: Bringing together state of the art resources for research, information, learning, assessment, treatment and support; and building capacity to address the lifespan needs of individuals with ASD and related disorders. The PAFN will build upon existing lifespan services while at the same time addressing the need for support and services across the province.
Autism now impacts 1 in 66 children and 1 in 42 boys across Canada. Let’s make a difference in the lives of individuals and families living with autism across BC! Thank you for visiting our page and taking the time to support our team. Every little bit makes a difference!
