Welcome to My Personal Page
As many of you know, I've worked for Canucks Autism Network (CAN) for over 8 years because I truly believe in the work that we do.
Like many charities, the pandemic has hit us hard.
This August 5-14, I will be participating in the first-ever CAN Virtual Challenge in an effort to help recoup some of the vital funding we have lost.
During the 10-day challege, I will be completing various physical, creative and outdoor activities while raising funds for CAN.
While COVID has been hard on us all, it has been particularly challenging for individuals with autism and their families who are especially vulnerable to social isolation, depression and anxiety. Many parents of children with autism who were already stressed and overwhelmed before the pandemic have been pushed to their limits. It's become clear that our services are needed now more than ever.
Through our new stream of virtual programs, we've been able to continue to provide much-needed remote support to our community, but we can't keep it up on our own.
We need your help.
Our hope is that the CAN Virtual Challenge will enable us to continue to support the autism community during and long after this difficult time.
Join me in making a difference in the lives of the over 16,000 families living with autism in BC. Together, we can create a future where every individual with autism is understood, accepted and supported in all community spaces.
